Update: Finally got through to an operator after 50 min wait, only to be put on hold for another 15mins, until the call cut out. Add $300 to my bill for time spent chasing the ghost of Southern Phone, when I should be working Time spent on Southern Phone today: more than an hour.

Work done so far: Nothing Stress levels: through the roof after 6 months of this. Issues resolved; Zero.

NO STAR RATING.

Southern phone began with excellent customer service and value for money.

However, the last 4-5 years this has become increasingly non existent.

The average waiting on hold time for assistance is 45mins or more -usually I give up after 1.15hrs have passed listening to the recording of their fabulous service and products.

The 'chat' service is really just an email service with an average response time of 5 to 14 days, and my issue hasn't been solved, addressed or acknowledged in 6 months.

The only things acknowledged in a timely manner were the change over and activation of my family's sim cards to Sthrn Phn.

We won't be with them much longer.

I have an expensive plan for my mobile, which was temporary due to our Southern Phone internet being out for days, and me relying on 'hot spotting' from my phone to continue my home run business.

I requested my original plan to be reinstated to the cheaper plan in late December, January,February,March,April,May and June.

In spite of numerous calls, and 'chats', I am still paying the more expensive service which I don't want.

I refuse to pay the full amount, and have also had 'late fees' added to my bill because I won't pay for a service I don't use, and was assured had been changed back to the original months ago.

Don't go Southern Phone folks, it will become your worst nightmare.

PS: I am back on hold with Southern Phone right now, as I type, so far it's been 46 mins listening to how amazing Southern Phone is. Shaking my head right now.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $500.

Southern Phone Pros: Service when they first started.

Southern Phone Cons: No customer service or care whatsoever.
